Record Summer Heat- September 8, 2010

This summer was at the record high for almost all states in the US.  Rhode Island, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virgina, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia all had record breaking hot summers.  Five other states experienced the second warmest summer ever.  In the nation this was the forth warmest summer ever in the United States.  Four states had cooler that normal summers.  These were in the northwest.  The warm summers brought a great tourist season for the northeast.  With warmer weather in some of the more popular places people were going there more.

Critacal Question: Do you think that the high summer heats will return next summer? Why?

  1. Yes I think it will get even hotter because people say on the news it will only get hotter.

  2. I think that the temperature can't go anywhere but up right now. So many ecological factors play in the heating up of the Earth that it is hard to say at this point but as of now that is what I think. But is also a benefit for the tourist areas which are now prospering because of the weather. Good job Katelyn!
